Islands to Cottages is an eco-friendly organization. We abide by strict sustainability standards over all aspects of our business and we are actively committed to lowering our carbon footprint to the best extend possible. This includes encouraging local order pick-up whenever feasible to lower shipping needs. We believe in limiting to the strict necessary any shipment of items when it is avoidable to do so due to the greenhouse gases emissions pertaining to the very process of shipping. For this reason, we do not encourage dispensable returns of merchandise or redundant shipments when it is avoidable to do so.

Islands to Cottages is dedicated to make quality products that stand the test of time. We pride ourselves in providing a thorough description of the items in our store. Please read carefully the long description of the article to have a realistic idea of the item you are purchasing. If you have any questions regarding an item before purchasing, please contact us. Islands to Cottages is also a mindful organization. We thrive to provide our customers with 100% satisfaction. We want you to have peace of mind and a positive experience. We want you to feel comfortable throughout the process of your green shift. For this reason we offer Hassle Free Return and Credit, under certain conditions :

Returns.

  • Customers may return new, unused items in case of defect only and within 7 days upon receiving/retrieving the order for a store credit of the purchase price.
  • No return/credit after 7 days upon receiving/retrieving your order.
  • If you wish to file for a return/credit, please contact us as soon as possible with a detailed explanation to make sure the item meets the return/credit criteria.
  • Once the return/credit is approved, we will contact you via email and provide you with an address to return the order.
  • Authorized return orders must be shipped within 7 days of return approval.
  • All items must be returned in their original form with original packaging intact. A copy of the original receipt must be provided.
  • Food items are not returnable/not creditable.
  • Personal care items are not returnable/not creditable.
  • Digital articles are not returnable/not creditable.
  • Items sold by third-party organizations are not returnable/not creditable. Contact them directly for more information on their Return&Refund Policy.
  • If any of the above conditions are not met, we reserve the right to refuse the return.

Store Credit.

  • A credit will be initiated within 7 days of the authorized returned order being received at our facilities and processed.
  • The credit will then automatically be provided in the form of Store Credit and you will receive an email with confirmation.

Shipping Return and Credit.

  • Shipping cost and postage (where applicable) are not refundable.
  • Return-shipping fees are the customers’ responsibility.
  • We recommend using a tracked method to return-ship as customers are responsible for the items until we receive them.
  • To avoid return-shipping fees, a drop-off of the order can be arranged by contacting us via email.
  • May the authorized returned order not be received by us, no credit will be provided.

Please note that we are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. We do our very best to make sure all items are safe to travel and will make it safely to our customers. Unfortunately, once the order has reached the counter of the shipping company, the handling of the package is beyond our control.
